Hmm... what do you do with 3 little girls for the day while Amy's at a golf tourney? (taps fingers... thinks... ponders) Take them to Papa's! That'll not only get in good time with Papa but hopefully wear them out enough to make them want naps... rather than getting into trouble. Well, it almost worked  They did play... and run around... and climb trees... and dig up flowers (thank you, Ran). The kittens didn't come out to play.. they had just eaten and were napping and were afraid of the girls so they stayed under the deck. Papa fed us chicken teriyaki (yum) and then made meatloaf for, like, 40 people. The girls and I ran over to my house, watched a movie and then went back to Papa's to pick up the meatloaf. Then it was back to Amy's. We had a good time but we all miseed the Mommy and it was good to have her back

Happy Birthday Mailea!
It's hard to believe that Mailea is already 9 years old. Don't we all remember when she was still running around in diapers? Now she runs around and helps her mom, watches out for her sisters and rides her new bike (which I failed to get a picture of *sigh*). Mailea got some pretty nice things this year - a new bike (as mentioned) from Mom and Papa, a paint set from Uncle Brian and Auntie Mo, wonderful new clothes from Gramma and Grampa Jerry and a CD player from Auntie and Uncle Raymond. What a great party it was! Kathy, Dad and Amy prepared a wonderful feast of BBQ'd chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs and macaroni shrimp salad (like Momma used to make!). The kids had both a water balloon toss and egg toss. Maranda spent all of her time on the swing set, Taima played manicurest for all of the guests, and Mailea broke in her new bike. It was a wonderful day.
